Default Suspension

I have a 2004 dakota 3.7 4 WD 135,000 miles. Suspension seems to be squeaking a lot. Any recommendations for maintaining it? Are there bushings that need to be replaced? Any help appreciated. Thx

I have an '03 QC w/158,000 and I replaced all 4 shocks with Rough Country shocks and replaced all the swaybar & control arm bushings w/ good poly ones. My truck squeaked for about a month (didn't put enough grease on installation), but now it is quiet and rides nice. I also replaced the ball-joints and got an alignment, but I kinda overkill like that. I figure w/high miles better to fix it before it breaks. Hope this helped.

When I bought my 01 Dak in '05, every one I test drove had a nice squeak when I went over a speed bump. It was a really easy fix to unbolt the front sway bar, slide the bushings over, slop some grease on the bar, push the bushings back and bolt it back on. Five years and 50k later, still no squeaks. I used a water proof trailer axle grease.

Good to know. I would try this first.

Ball joints end of story.
