how tight is the box between the seats?

do you think you could fit a 12" sub if you built a wider box, or would that be too wide?

Nah man that box is 11'' wide and it touches the seats on both sides. i mean you might be able to make it work with a 12'' sub somehow. im not ruling it out. but to still be able to use the seats and the cab without modifying the seat brackets it cant be any wider than 11''.

i just sits there. the two seats press up against it. and the front of it sticks up under the front of the dash. the seats have to be out to put it in. its not going anywhere.

what about an ext cab i'm thinking keep the original seat in there, gut it out and build a box to fit in... any ideas?
