yea, i'll wire you the money tomorrow. its just too bad you cant fix stupid. Where, at any point, did I say my v6 was awesome? It has nothing to do with being a v6 whatsoever. I'm talking about the condition that my truck is in. Not one spot of rust, no dents or scratches anywhere, it literally looks as if it rolled out of the warren michigan assembly line yesterday. I dont have any reason to drive it that much, so it only has 60k miles on it. And how is it any less spectacular that an 88 has over 200k miles? Do you actually think thats a huge achievement? Any motor will last that long if its taken care of.

Here's a list of almost 4,000 chrysler vehicles with over 200k miles. my 88 is on here somewhere.

Swapping in a hemi is not like swapping a 5.9 for a 3.9. You will need to change EVERYTHING. Motor mounts, wiring, tranny, probably the radiator and stuff like that. So how is an average kid suppose to do that? You may have some knowledge on mechanics, but only about 10% of what it would take to do the swap. Like wink said this is a master mechanic type deal. So obviously I am in no way telling it can not be done becuse it has. But with your knowledge it can not be done. Especially for 4-5k like you think. Like I have said let us know when it's done and Ill give you a cookie.

you dont know what connections i have....the swap isnt that hard to do...im swaping it into a 2wd and not a 4x4

the trannys are the same from 4.7 to 5.7
radiators take like an hour to change?
motor mounts will take a few hours and i know how to weld
wireing is the only thing i dont get...but im gonan talk to painless and see if thell make me a custom wireing kit...if they dont...ill bore and stroke the 4.7

Okay guys. We don't need this to turn into a flame thread. If you don't have anything useful to say, why post? This thread will be locked if it continues.

This is what happens when you make a simple suggestion to an 18 year old who'se already got something in his head. All im saying is that it cant be done for 5k, I dont care what type of "connections" you have. You're not going to find someone to do the work for free. But if he's got the money then go for it.

Exactly. What I'm saying isn't useless. Were trying to tell the kid hes most likely in over his head. But he won't listen. I hope he can do it, because it would be awesome and I hope he proves me wrong. I'll be the first to admit it, if indeed he posts up his 5.7 QC dak in a year, but I still never see it happening. Sorry.

I was speaking about bickering, not clean advice.
