Im not hating on a hemi dakota. That would be a sweet truck. Im just saying be prepared to do more work and spend more money then you think. Especially if you think you're doing a hemi swap. I don't think you are prepared to do a swap like that, so good luck and let us know when you're done.

there is a few other DAKOTA forums if you type it in google where they put a HEMI in a dakota.. im pretty sure his name is HEMIDAK if you type it in on google youll find it..i was reading it one day.. its all step by step what he did to put that HEMI in

I guess that douchebag is you in this case. Im not trying to talk you out of anything, Im just telling you what I would do in that situation because it would be alot more economical, a lot less of a pain in the ***, and alot more practical. If you have the time, money, and knowledge to do what you're planning on doing, then by all means go ahead and do it. Just remember, its not as easy as you think. The two dakotas I've seen with 5.7 hemi swaps were done by master mechanics who really know what the hell they're doing. Not some 18 year old punk *** kid.

my 88 has over 200k, still runs and drives good. it'll probably be 10-12 more years before my 01 gets up that high, but I'll let you know when it does. I'd like to see your truck as clean and flawless as my 01, but that'll never happen.

give me a few grand and mine will be as "flawless" as your awesome V6
