And as far as the 4X4 swap. im not sure, i would say everything would be exactly the same, except for the transfer case part. 95 318SLT might be the person, to ask since he has done the swap on a 1st gen, they are generally the same vehicles. But he would have more insight on the 4X4 part than i would.

Lol, it is so worth it too! I would never even consider going back now that I have a 5 speed! There is a noticably about more power put to the ground and its a lot more fun to drive! And oh yeah... no dodge automatic transmission problems to worry about! :P

In fact, if you do the swap while your automatic is still in good working order, you should have no problems selling it! It didn't take me long.

A dodge auto with no problems yeah right 84,000 miles on my truck and bad slipping in 1st and some slipping in od at about 55mph. What ever you do dont ever get in my truck after a night of sitting and give it to much gas until its fully warm cause if you do the tranny will act up until it cools. When I get it out I want to strap about 10lb of c4 on it cause im fed up with it lol Im only worried about what kind of problems im going to run into with the swap thats all you also got to remember that im a 17 year old that has never messed around with transmissions before.

Just read my thread in the 1st gen section and the couple other ones I've seen floating around this site like this one before you start and get everything you need before hand! Its actually a really straight forward swap. I imagine the only thing you might have a problem with over me is the electronics, cause OBDII is a lot more picky than OBDI.
