The sensors will be the same, yes. The diference is between the engine programming from the 5.2 to the 5.9. If you were just using the engine, I would say use the 5.2 controller, but in your case with trans and t-case, I would prolly use the 5.9 computer if at all possible.

 

the plugs changed in 97 -98 i believe mine were completely different from 97-99 but i would keep your current harness and get the computer. Just in case but it should work just like that.
