Default 99 dakota 5.9 RT trans?

Hello everyone,
A friend of mine is going to college down in Wyoming and has asked to me sell the rebuilt auto trans out of his 99 Dakota (5.9l R/T 2wd) for him. Problem is, I don't know what kind of trans it is or any of the statistics ( what year it was offered/compatible with, etc.) for the for sale ad. Can anyone help me out?

Thats what I had thought
2 more questions-Was this trans only available in the Dakota, or are there other vehicles it may work for as well?
This trans has roughly 1,500 miles on it after an 1800$ rebuild including new torque converter, how much is it worth?

May have been used in 5.9 durangos and rams... but not positive. Someone will need to confirm that.

just to elaborate, the 46re was found ONLY behind the 5.9 in Dakotas and Durangos. the 5.2 got the 44re.
ask $1500, take $1k.

Should work if your converting to 4wd that tranny you need to get a different overdrive unit or just remove the tail shaft im not exactly sure, but be for warned about the tail shaft.

That sounds about right, i was asking 1300 locally and dropped it to 1k, but still haven't had any interest. Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to ship something this heavy via freight?
