Default Flowmaster 40, 40 Delta, 50 HD?

What do you guys have, and what do you like,
Im having second thoughts about a 40 being to loud because i like to listen to music in my truck.
I dont want it quiet or stock by any means.

Id like to hear from people that have the 318/5.2L

i have the 5.2 with a single in single out 2.5" flowmaster 40 super series
its a nice rumble when you accelerate; you can easily drown out the sound of the muffler with the windows up and the radio turned on a little bit. it makes the truck sound a lot better. youll be happy with it. im going to be taking my cat out soon to boost the volume. ill take a video tomorrow of how loud it is on the inside/outisde of the cab

I have an Aero Turbine on my truck, it replaced a 40 series. It sounds better, performs better, it's 100% stainless with no packing, it's louder at WOT and doesn't drone like the Flowmaster when cruising, I couldn't be happier.

ive got the flowmaster super 44, its loud when you step on the gas, but like above its very easy to drown it out with the windows and music, music i can actually hear on the lowest setting with the windows up, cruising at 2k rpms

Ok in comparison how much louder is a 40 to a 50hd

I'm removing my cat, replacing it with a straight pipe and using o2 simulators so I don't trip the CEL. It should be loud with no cat and a 50hd right? I think the 50 should have a lot less drone.

Basically I'm looking for tone rather than volume...

If you have a muffler that is too loud or your worried about it being to loud and you cant listen to your music then its something you will hate after a couple months. My brother in law is almost to the point where he doesnt want to drive his hemi cause its too loud and obnoxious. I love my magnaflow pretty much quiet inside the truck gets a little louder when your on it but nothing too loud. It is still loud outside and I dont get tired of hearing the sweet deep tone of it.

I have the 5.2 and i got the 40 single in dual out and it dumps right after the cab. the interior is loud when ur cruisin but that bc of where i have it dumping. its loud all around then rather than with pipes after it. it sounds great but u would need to put pipes on it to be happy to keep the sound away from the cab.
