i was just looking on Summit for giggles, here's what i would run.

the fan has plenty of CFM's, and the kit to wire it up looks pretty simple.

I know this is an old thread, but I was looking around on ebay, and I found this electric fan:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PROCO...Q5fAccessories

It looks like a buy that I wouldn't want to pass up, but I don't understand why it's so much cheaper than the fan that I was going to get before I saw this. That fan is on summit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PR...6/?image=large. The fan on summit is almost three times the price, and puts out less cfm's. So is the fan on ebay junk, or should I jump at it?

When I was looking at them earlier, my eyes must have been playing tricks on me, because I was thinking they were the same brand. That's what was throwing me off, because the summit fan looks like a much better unit.

I was looking at doing the bone yard thing as an option, and there's plenty around here for me to find one. If I go that route, it won't be until it gets warm again. I've been thinking about removing the clutch fan, and running with out it. My truck isn't reaching the proper operating temp this winter for some reason. I replaced the water pump, thermostat, and fan clutch this summer, now it's running a bit cold, and it's affecting the heater output. Thanks for all the input.

I wish that was the case with the 5.9. That stupid clutch fan robs a lot of power when it's locked in
