Default replacement 1-piece lug nets??

I have had it with the OEM two-piece acorn lug nuts that keep breaking off every time I service my car. Has anyone replaced these with a 1-piece lug nut? If so which kind did you buy?

I'm not real sure about the whole replacement but I am facing a similar prob with my Dak.one of my studs is striped round and I am fixing to be going through hell trying to get it off. it sux because it has a 2000 15" wheel with that little bitty hole in it. Grrrrrr. any ideas would be appreciated. I expect that when I get it off I will be replacing all the nutz with real ones.

Check like autozone, napa, advanced. I got 1 piece lug nuts at napa about 3 months or so ago it was like 15.00 for all of them and they are chrome.

Yeah, same, I got them at Napa. The stock ones are junk. I used to dread getting a flat or something because I figured half of them wouldn't come off.

Do the ones from NAPA still use the same lug nut wrench or does it need a different size?

Woo-Hooo!!!! I got the damn thing off yesterday. I wound up having to drill through the stud untill the wheel just popped off. Before I even started on it I stoped by O'rileys and bought a set of 1 piece nuts. they cost me $25.00 and came with 4 lock nuts. I expect that that's about the last time I'll have to deal with that.

I think I'll do that with mine before it becomes an issue...that's assuming mine come off problem-free.
