A cat back system replaces everything from the CAT (Catalytic converter) all the way BACK. Extreamly simple term.

true if you buy from gibson or jba ect. if you look at summitracing you can get a set for under $250. maybe not as flashy or name brand but will do the same thing.

as far as headers go...I don't know that there is that much difference between them (someone correct me if I'm worng here). The whole idea about headers is to just get unrestricted air flow out of the engine....so headers that have less curves and are shorter would be better than something that has alot of bends, or sharp curves. Becuase afterall, an engine is actually a big air pump. The faster you can bring air in, and get it out, the more power you will make.

As far as cams go....you have a few different choices. I would just suggest doing some research on them. Cams are a little too technical for me to go into (plus I'm about to leave work haha) Here is probably a good place to start. Mopar Muscle Magazine...understanding cam specs... http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/h...ecs/index.html

Hope this helps....

one tip, if you get stainless steel headers, make sure you wrap them in heat wrap or get them ceramic coated,
they will get HOT,

unless you dont have much near the headers like me but you're truck has a lot more under hte hood

I prefer magnaflow but thats just me I have dual 2.5 inch cat back setup on my 98 and it wasnt all that loud at first but then after a little bit of driving it started to get louder and now it sounds great. This is what it sounded like as of aug 09

Default so far

Alright its been awhile since i've posted this thread and so far for my exhaust i yanked the CAT out and just took it straight back from the headers with 2 flowmaster mufflers, and also put a throttle body spacer on. And next im probably doin the cold-air intake but cant decide on which one to do between the CgS intake, the AEM brute force, or aFe. The next will come either the programmer or piggyback module idk which route to go on that. Then as far as exterior goes i put a 3" body lift and im custom building 2-way swing arms and slappin on some procomp nitrogen loaded shoxs w/ reserviors that are made for alot taller trucks and we are just gonna cut holes in the hood and have them stick through and finally i just got in my BF Goodwrinch all-terrains (33") and 16" procomp wheels
