First you have to tell us what you want to do to your truck. Lift it, lower it, more performance, interior stuff. How much you want to spend? Also you should post this in the 2nd Generation Dakota sub-forum, check out the FAQ in that section. I will move it there for you.

aftermarket parts...hmm...Well, since you mention no budget at all....

I would start with new cams, complete exhaust, heads, and a supercharger. But that's just me..

and i would start with ARB lockers, full 5" lift, and 35 inch boggers.. see how this can go?

i'd start with a 4" body drop (layin door) on 22"s and a mild built 360.
since you never mentioned 2 or 4 wheel drive.

well i bought it from my cousin and he already had a 3" lift on it. But i wanted to put a cold air intake, a chip, cams, and an exhaust system. I have to pay for my insurance so i dont have a alot of money to spend. I can eventually get the parts over time but it would be one thing at a time. And lowering is never an option its a truck its not ment to be lowered well in my oppinion

Well...If you can only do one thing at a time...I would probably start with the exhaust before I did cams or intake. Get her breathin good first, and then work on the top end...but that's just me. I don't know much about the 5.2, but this is the order I started on my tuck.

Of course, you probably know that no single upgrade is going to give you a big jump in power. It's baby-steps, ya know?

Cat back just means from the cat converter, all the way back. It's probably the most popular set up for a novice. Unless you wanted to buy headers and replace everything all the way back. Are you going to go with a duel set up??

As far as flowmaster or magnaflow...It just depends on preference. I tried two different flowmaster mufflers and didn't like either one of them. The sound had a little too much "pop" for me. I ended up going with Magnaflow, cuz it just sounds better IMO. It seems to have a deeper, less crackly sound. Some people swear by the trademark flowmaster sound, but I just didn't like it. If you go to each of their websites, they have sound clips for your engine, so you can hear what each of them sound like. You could probably find some good videos on youtube as well..
