new speakers!
oh my god is all i can say when replacing the rear speakers. i spent all effing day crammed in the back tearing apart the damn trim. what a retarded design, shoulda just had a mesh cover over the speaker for easy access. i am a little annoyed lol. but i got new speakers just some jvc walmart ones for 50bucks. no mounting brackets were provided so i ziptied it to the opening lol. anyways im done venting.

Haha yeah you think you had it bad. I replaced all four of my speakers in my QC taking off the doors is real easy but I didn't buy shallow speakers so I had to do some modding. Took the stock speakers that have the plastic ring around them and had to rip off the ring and screw it to my new speakers with out that I couldn't roll the windows down all the way.. Pain in the butt. Next is subs and a new head unit.

well I have my subs bridged and they are P3s which is a competition speaker. they are only 10 inch subs and they weigh 20 lbs each also they are 4 ohm dual voice coil. The thing is they hit hard and they sound even better. If you're looking for high quality more then loudness this is what you want...Not to say that they won't get loud. Cause they will.
I don't have this set up in my truck yet, it was actually in my 89 camaro with a custom enclosure...(for sale) I'm planning on getting rid of the long seat in the back and installing another short seat which will leave room for me to do a center console with the subs and put the amp underneat the seat. I also have a Capasitor cause this set up will destroy your alternator fast, found that out the hard way.

nice
it took like 4~ hours for me to replace all 4 of my speakers with alpine type s, jvc head unit and install an amp/12" soundstream sub
was a pain to remove the rear panels without breaking any clips
i guess i could probably do that job in around an hour and a little bit now, it was my first time doing any of that stuff

See I have a QC and I could put a lot of **** in the back of it but I bought a QC for a reason lol so I wanna maintain some seating back there. I used to work for a Mobile theater company... I've seen some ridiculous systems the shop had a sub wall in the show room... 14 12's all hooked up. Used to hit 130 decibels in a huge open room.
