My subs run from the amp. I didn't have to splice into any speaker wire. I think alot of that depends on your amp...but I don't know a whole lot about audio.

if your looking for a lot of bass but to still be able to hear anything over it, i recommend Polk speakers in the doors and back. I have them all around my truck and 2, 12" rockford fosgate subs powered with a 1,100 watt rockford amp. I can hear everything over the bass loud n clear even at full power which is too much and unnecessary. Ive had many different subs even the "Great" MA audios which i thought sucked. Rockford Fosgate is the way to go Period. I haven't tried their door speakers yet but they will be next.

Fosgate all the way everyday I will never use another sub ever...unless it's free haha if you wanna go all the way Get P3s They have great quality and it's all on how you set up your speakers and how nice they are you can take nice speakers and make them sound like crap if you don't know how to set it up so do some research, or become friends with someone who know's what they are doing

for sure there is no sub better then rockfords in my opinion. For an example, my first rockford was a punch 300 Watt. i had a pioneer 500 watt running off of the same amp i tried them both to see the difference. Both were 12", and the pioneer was hands down a piece of **** lol. Rockfords are also underrated think of them as the 426 Hemi of subs.

components are relatively easy. they usually require an amp though so that is something to look at. then you just run your signal wires to the crossover boxes ant from the boxes to the speaks. I did a set on my old R/T and the crossovers inside the door panels. the wiring isn't that hard either, my wife ran mine.

i went with infinity kappa speakers throughout... alpine amps... pioneer deck... and sound proofed the interior.... it sounds like your in the front row sitting nest to the speakers at a concert in my ram.... i guess it all depends on what your looking for.

Mtx thunderform box in my 99 R/T with thunder 4500 10's. Box looks completely stock down to the cupholders in the sides and jack storage until you lift rear seats. And, surprisingly, my Alphasonik 1200 goth series hasnt blown them yet, and they have a great sound with only 1.13 cu. feet per side

In the doors are Audiobahn ABC 600T components. I disagree with the previous post of coaxials over components. Placement of the rear interior speakers is so high in relation to the front seat, with coaxials i never could get a good full sound in the 80-160 range
