Default 2002 Dakota Quad Cab 4.7

So i've been posting here for a few months on and off, and I've really appreciated everyones help and support.
I've finally got my brake problem resolved, and now i just need some ideas.
I don't know where to start with my truck, Im pretty happy with the apperance, and the motor, I just don't know what else I want to do. I was thinking of replacing some rusty suspension parts, and trying to refurbish some of the underbody surface rust, but I dont know where to start.

Ill post more pictures of my truck, including the underside/interior/motor later so you can see what im working with....

What should I do to it!

Thanks Everyone.

I am going to POR 15 my underbody and frame when it warms up out here.

Its good stuff, if you have any rust you might want to look into it. Will stop it cold.

Take a look into your front end. There can be some costly repairs that if you do your self can save a lot of money

i.e.
- ball joints
- shocks
- sway bar bushings
- control arm bushings...

Theres a factory recall on my ball joints and struts, that I'm looking into, however they just closed the only dodge dealership in my area...so I have to find another one.

check online at the Dodge site. You can punch in your vin and it will tell you whether or not you can get them replaced by the recall.

Thanks for the info, turns out I don't have a recall, I guess the other site was wrong.

How hard is it to replace the rear shocks and leaf springs? They look pretty worn out, and I'd like to replace them.

What tools do I need to accomplish this? can you do it on the ground or do you need a lift? What problems might I run into?

Thanks Everyone.

I thought If I posted some pictures of my rear suspension I might be able to get some better advice.

Shocks are easy, but I'm not sure about the leafs. I've never replaced them before.
