Airaid intake question

hey guys just put the airaid intake on my truck but forgot to plug in the temp sensor and it popped my code. Does this do any harm? and can I reset it or turn it off without clearing the computer?

I'm pretty sure it wont hurt anything but dont take my word for it. . .try taking the negative/positive off the battery maybe? Sorry i cant tell you exactly. . .
