I have a 2000 Dakota Sport 4x4 ext. cab and I have 31" tires and no rubbing at all
so I dont see why they wouldn't fit?!

Do you have the 15x7 or 15x8 rims? A 15x7 will give a slightly higher profile. Thats my worry.

i put 31x10.50R15 on my 98. it originally had 235x75R15 and i used the stock 7" rims. they only rub a little on the frame when turned lock-to-lock but you can't feel it at all. in fact, the only way i knew they rubbed at all was when i crawled under the truck to grease it and i saw a small area on each frame rail where there wasn't any dirt! the frame edges are smooth and rounded and didn't damage the tires. if you remember, just don't turn the steering tight lock-to lock. you shouldn't do that anyway because it isn't good for the power steering pump. i guess the 8" rims have different backspacing and that's why they use the small fender flares to cover the little bit of the tire that sticks out. the 7" rims keep the tires even with the fenders and don't require flares. just remember that your speedometer is going to be off a little bit due to the increased overall diameter. -- good luck

I dont think that sports sit up higher than SLT's. I have a 00 Sport and it seems to sit at the same ride height as the SLT.

They are on but I couldnt get it aligned because the R hub bearing was toast. I'm hoping the place I bought it from will take care of it since it supposedly passed inspection at the end of FEB. Yeah right!

flywheel

some do and some don't. get what I mean? some sports are lower to the ground (mainly the v6's) and same with some of the SLT's. I didn't know if he had an SLT that was up higher or not, thats all I meant.
