i just put in a 3175 superchip and have it programed for the 91 octane while putting in 93 octane cause thats what we use in va. but i still see a 3mpg difference on the highway compared to my previous 16 to 17 which i see worth while cause i got 19 almost 20 mpg

Did you notice any gain in performance? Better bottom end? I want to get one because I'm looking for more low end power.

I might be backtracking in this topic a bit, but you guys talking about going 80 mph...

I can't get my truck to go that fast unless its going downhill or I have a mile of level ground. Man I love my 4 banger. :P

i noticed that when i put my foot in it with out tuner i was pulling all the way through like 3.5rpm to 4prm and then when i put in the higher octane tune and changed my gas i was pulling hard all the way through like 5.5 rpm i feel a big difference and it felt like it wanted to break traction on the rear end but didn't but yes big bottom end difference and the middle tune wasn't bad but i figure tune it the best for best performance and you get best mpg and i got almost 20 highway with the same highest tune

Single biggest Mod you can to to increase milage without detuning your engine is to afix an egg to your gas pedal and try not to break it.

Actually, no. Accelerating at around 75 to 85% throttle, and get up to top gear as fast as you can doing so. Still only shift at 2,000-2,200 rpms, but at 80ish% throttle. What makes you get worse gas mileage is braking. You turn ALL that forward momentum into HEAT in your brake pads, you can never get that back.

Where are you in North Alabama?
