Default dakota upgrades

i would like to start doing upgrades to my 98 dakota 3.9L, where would be a good place to start?

i want to upgrade for performance and style.

not worth it for the 3.9. jk...but not really. search the forum. all the answers are there.

yea theres alot hate on the v6, but search around theres some sweet rides in here w/ the v6. at least it isn't a big ram w/ a v6 i just found out they made those wow.

theres a lot of things you could do
first you need to free up that intake so it can give it more air (cold air intake kit)
then free up that exhaust (any performance exhaust kit of your choice i prefer flowmasters)
also ive heard putting a v8 throttle body (avaiable at most junk yards) gives you some power
and style... its really up to u but heres some suggestions
brush guard, light bar, lift kit, rims and tires pretty much anything you wanna spend money on.

thank you for your ideas.
although with 2wd im not sure if ill be doing off roading to need a brush gaurd.

has anyone bought or used the performance parts off ebay?

cold air intakes for $40
chip upgrades for $30

so i was wondering how trust worthy they are?

i kno a guy who bought a chip from ebay and when he installed it it didnt do anything except let it rev like 100 rpm more than the governer allowed so imho ebay chips are a no no

Scrap the 3.9 unless you are willing to spend gobs and gobs of money with little in return. A simple V-8 conversion is a great place to start.
