- Clear corners
- Upgrade my fog lights and headlights to something a little brighter.
- Spark plugs. (I've put 20k miles on the truck since I've got it and don't know when the last time the previous owner did them.)
- A homemade CAI
- Crank the tb's just an inch in the front to level it out.
- Superchips 3715
- Possibly a new head unit
- I was also thinking about doing the roll on bed liner around the bottom of the rockers. Just not sure how it would look yet...
- Need to do front pads
- Rear shocks

The main things are probably the cragars, front pads, and superchips first. Just a list of options I'm putting together for now.

Any other options or imput is cool.
I put bed liner around the bottom of the rockers on my rig and it looks sick... it just adds a very nice look.

You guys like how that is all the stuff I wanted to do last summer but NONE of it ended up getting done lol. This thing is a money pit at times. Especially last summer.

Default my plans...

Got a Cummins 4bt in my garage out of an aircraft deice truck that I'm prepping and getting my plan together for my swap - don't know if I'll get around to the install this summer but I'd like to - just can't afford to lose my wheels for a couple weeks... Anyone want some good reading see 4btswaps.com - after you've read all the dodgeforum.com threads, of course. Lots of neat work going on out there around the country!

dude that's awesome. That's pretty much my dream truck; a dakota with a diesel. There is a green one out there that is flat out awesome. 6bt with a lift. Perfect truck.

Default Cummins

Yes bpark - I think it will be a neat replacement for my 3.9. There are a few diesel Dakotas out there running around (and a Durango or two also) with a couple more being swapped in right now, but that 6bt is one of only a couple of the 6cyl versions I've seen in our trucks. The 4bt fits more easily in the bay, and can be tuned up to several hundred horsepower if you're so inclined ($$), but I'm thinking more of a gas mileage king for my 200-mile drives to work. It never will complete with a tuned 6bt for power of course...
So far I've gone through the turbo, purchased a flywheel/clutch combo and some liquid-filled motor mounts, painted a few parts and have gotten an electric fan and a radiator so as to be able to test run and tune it in the garage. Need a starter, an oil change, and to plumb the radiator and I'll be ready to make some smoke this spring! I'll post a thread when I jump fully into the project if there are those that are interested in the progress.

Definitly make a thread when you. Do you need to beef up the front suspension? I don't know how much the 4bt weighs...

Default Diesel suspension

Can you beef it up? Sure. Am I going to? Not right away. It's only a couple hundred pounds heavier than the V8's - think one fat guy in the passenger seat (I realize that in reality he'd be sitting well in front of the passenger seat). You can go with a SAS and depending on the application that might be a great idea, but for a road machine I think my initial cut is going to have the stock suspension and stock 5-speed transmission with a new set of clutch plates - my OEM one turned 150,000 today, so my driving style hasn't been too hard on them I guess. It will be interesting to see which parts wear... I'm going to keep my eyes open for a correctly-priced NV4500 transmission but I think it'll be overkill so I'm not overly concerned with the AX-15 for starters. Time will tell if it's the right choice...

Yeah, 200 lbs isn't that bad. If it was the 6bt it would be a different story. Down the road a SAS would be awesome. Then you can lift it more too
