Sure can -

Have run this for over 2 years and absolutely love it.

The variable speed soft start control works like a charm.
I also use a relay with it for safety sake.

I've read the "new" hot setup is the Chevy HHR fan available at
Rock Auto for very reasonable.

is supose i could just reverse the polarity of the wires and make it a push fan. i don't understand why they would put a puller fan on the front. that doesn't make any sense. GOOD JOB AGAIN DODGE!!

the problem is the stock fan is low output.
it's on the engine side of the radiator.
making it a push fan won't help.

same hear, I have a small elec. fan along with the clutch fan. But my clutch fan is starting to go, so im switching to elec. in the spring. The plan is a 16" fan with a controller, I just cant decide whether to go a manual control, or a thermomostat control

all 4.7s came with a clutch fan and an e-fan from the factory, the efan goes on with the AC and when the temp gets above (i THINK) 210, so the efan is not used under normal conditions

sounds like the stock efan never even gets used.
has anyone put a switch on theirs?
...or have it go on at 185*

my truck also has the efan along with the clutch fan, but I don't trust using that fan on it's own. As I said earlier, I've removed the clutch fan for now, but I intend to ad the taurus efan to replace it. I removed it, because the truck has been running cold this year, to the point that it's affecting the heater output. I can leave it sit idle in the garage with out the clutch fan attached, and it doesn't even begin to overheat. I believe that the factory efan is for the A/C, because the only time I hear it running, is when the A/C is turned on.
