can i remove my clutch fan
i hyave a 00 dakota sport 4.7 and i was wondering if removing the clutch fan would cause any overheating issues.

i live in a cold climate so i have not used one in years with no problems but if i lived down south or do alot of pulling i would leave it in.

I removed mine about a month ago because of these cold temps, and have had no problems.

yeah i got an electric fan also. i just thought it is something that would not need to be turning and might free up a few horsepower.

Yes, as long as you put an electric fan in its place. I have an electric fan with a switch on the dash and I've only ever turned it on if the truck is going to be sitting for more than a couple minutes.

I'm not planning to leave it off when it starts warming up, but the efan mod is in the works for this year

The 4.7 already comes with an efan stock so would he have to upgrade it to a better one

yea i got the stock efan it's junk. *wrong*
it's a puller fan. i think u can add a push fan, on the other side of the radiator.
