Default Lsd

How much should it cost to have a lsd installed? Including the part. This summer I want to get one installed, and I want to know how much I should be paying before I get a estimate that is way too high.

Thanks.

mine was $700 for an aftermarket unit and a rear end rebuild when my took a crap 2 years ago so it should be around there maybe a tad more since you don't already have one

Is that the one you have playmaker? I'm thinking about getting the Auburn. It's a better unit and since I'm doing it, I want to do it right. How good is your truck in the snow with it? Thats the main reason I want it.

most gear installs are gonna take 6+ hours of labor to have done, thats why its so much money. You want them to take their time and get all the tolerances done right the first time, otherwise you'll be back with shredded ring and pinions or spider gears.
