nah no one i know except for my managers wife has a titan(prolly cause its an import truck :P lol) yea i no its pretty bad power to weight but compare it to a full size of the same year and its better, my truck makes ~30+ more than my friend's ram and it weighs 1kip less

yea my friend occasionally tries to race me, hes got a chevy silverado 2wd 5.7 vortec or whatever that is. I dont know how but i always beat him off the line and usually can win a short 1/2 mile race but he starts to gain on me at the end.

Power to weight ratio? Ours is actually pretty bad, too much real truck (steel) in our truck.

Lol the titans are pieces of ****...

Go race a Toyota Tundra with he 5.7 in it.. i raced one in my 2000 full bolt on R/T and the mother ****er was right at my door... i won by the hair on my ***.. and he was stock.

I gave him props for hanging, the 5.7 hemis don't even do that good...

but to the OP:

Removing the fan will free up a few horses none of which you will actually notice, you will notice faster startups, faster revs/throttle response, and less noise.

Install a 180 thermostat and use the stock electric fan and be done with it.

You do have to consider that the Toyota engine has Variable Valve timing, 4 valves a cylinder, and DOHCs, and a 6 speed transmission. Of course it will be better than a pushrod V8. When you take stuff that was meant to make little engines fast and put it on a big engine....you get a fast *** engine.

Do it fast...haha The tstat doesn't really help, think about it. When you're moving, there's enough air moving to keep it from reaching 212. When you're stopped, the fan has to kick on. There is a little bit of gray area that the fan would have to work for that it wouldn't have to work for if you had the 180 tstat, but IMO it's not worth it.

Really I dont mind titans they are not a bad truck my buddy is the only one in my town that owns one he wont race me tho he is bagged sitting on 26's best bagged titan I ever saw. As far as the tundra yes they do have some power more then I thought they would they are fun to drive. The hemi doesnt even compare to it I think the only thing hemi's are good for is torque.
