Not tryin to get anybody going, but here is my set up. I live in the DFW area 100+% in the summer allot. My truck 4.7 (mechanically stock), superchips, flowmaster, homemade cai, K&N, 4X4, QC, auto 545fre and 31.6" tires, just to give you an overall idea. I took my clutch fan off 3 yrs ago, have 160,000 miles on my truck, the stock thermostat and haven't had a problem, at all. I am very **** about preventative maintenance, including ALL fluids. I am not saying anything against anybody else's opinion, but I have been fine. Everytime I am sitting in traffic in summer, I have the a/c on and my truck has never overheated.

same here put im in pa but i used to be **** about it getting around 210 but it hits 212 and the efan kicks it down everytime doesn't the ac make the fan run more i usually turn that or the heat on whenever it gets up high in traffic and it comes down a little quicker

Yup on both of the last posts, fan comes on with the a/c and with triple digit weather the oem fan works fine. Been in Dallas traffic numerous times and truck performed perfect. If it goes out I'll just buy another oem one. Hated the clutch fan.

Sorry, User I live just south of Burleson kinda out in the country and only go to Ft Worth or Arlington and haven't seen ya. I'll keep my eye out though.

i didn't remove the fan shroud cause its also hte wiper fluid resevior and the radiator fluid, dumb dodge not using those standard plastic holders and blow molding it all into hte shroud.

i want to remove it, i might eventually get the plastic container things and put them in there but i dont know

Go to the junk yard and Pick one off something. Back when our 78 cj was made they didnt care if the overflow tube went straight to the ground but with all the laws now you cant do that so we browsed some cars and found a small over flow bottle and just bolted it up and ran the hose to it took us like 5 min to install. Hell ive saw trail rigs with a pepsi bottle used as the overflow and it worked perfect.

i finaly got mine off after f'ing with it a bunch of times.
just pliars and vice grips. sounds sweet now. my e-fan didn't come on w/ a/c or heat setting. but when it hit 212* in the drivway i heard it kick on. it's 46* out and it cooled it to 180 *in like a minute.

did anybody put a nut on to keep that pulley from moving?
couldn't find one anywhere. i don't want to cut the old one off.
i just put the center piece back on w/o the blades.
