I just did my plugs a few days ago, which I don't think have been done in an extremely long time. I had to sit right up on the rad support and fenders so I could get good leverage to yank the coils off (I do also have on broken hand, wasn't good lol). The ac lines were no problem, I pulled the airbox and tube right off which made getting at the plugs no problem. I recently got the truck and I know for a fact that it's gone atleast 100,000kms without plugs, what a difference it made!

The 5.2 isnt too bad to do well driver side is easy but passenger is a lil harder taking the air box out is much easier and saves time. When I was doing the cap and rotor I was sitting on the engine pretty much since the distributor is in the greatest place lol. I miss my 85 power ram it had the 318 in it and had tons of room in there(you could sit in there and work on it). It was pretty much stripped of everything except the motor. Actually one time I hid my lil cousin in the engine compartment as a joke(wasnt too funny to his mom when he came out covered in oil and dirt lol)

Oh yeah, a couple were in there good. Especially the front drivers side plug. The rest were not to bad. I just took the 2 bolts out holding the ac lines in place and then could easily move them around and had no problems gettting to the other plugs.

Should I bother getting the boot puller tool? I have the '04 3.7L with coils.

whats the difference in tune-up parts between the 318 and 287?

still plugs, wires, rotor, and cap?
or do the 4.7s have coil packs?

individual coil for the 4.7, so all you need to do is plugs.
