Default 2002 Dakota 3.9L Auto Trans issue

2002 Dakota 3.9L 4X4 auto Trans jumps when I come to a stop or am stopped. It then appears to take off in 2nd when I proceed.

I have replaced the Trottle position sensor and changed the Trans fluid/filter to no avail.

I have no fault codes! This occurs when the engine is hot or cold! The transmission shifts fine otherwise!

Please help

Does anybody have a clue on this!

Another note: This does not occur if I keep a slight pressure on the accelerator and hold the brake when I stop (This keeps the RPM at about 1000)

It just appears that the trans slips when I stop.

My 2000 3.9 4x4 auto does something similar when rolling to a stop. It has a little jump to it before I completely come to a stop. I just figured it was the transmission jumping down from 2nd to 1st but I don't really know. As for taking off in second, mine does not feel like it is doing that so I can't add any opinion on that.

I now have this issue resolved! It was the Governor switch and Solenoid located in the transmission.
