i have a 2002 and going to do alot this summer tires lifts some other odds and ends and was thinking of getting a winch ... got stuck a few times and i don't like getting help to get out anymore cause all my friends are too busy ... has anyone put a winch on there dak and if so post pics im trying to get a good idea on how to do it

The winch cost about $300 best investment I've ever made.

 

I put one on my truck. I custom installed/ built a front hitch. Then I got a hitch winch mount. And installed the winch on that. I wanted it that way so it is removable so if needed I can take it to the rear of the truck. And it is not low at all. I scraped it on a few thing but it has not got in the way at all. And I do take it offroading and take it on crazy angles.

I got you beat Zanethan I got the 10,000lb version. XRC10.

 

haha yeah I thought about the 10,000 lb version but I didn't have the funds and figured my truck only weighs 5,000 at best so I should be good. My clutch is stuck in the engaged mode though I need to call up Smittybuilt and get the replacement part. Good thing there's a life time warranty! Oh and I have the kentmnt bumper listed above. Great bumper but it took a while to get.

 

I mounted a 9k on mine... pulls fine so far LOL. I got the superwinch.
