Roll Call !! Post up your pics of your Dakota!!
wiring and fitment are always a problem with the aftermarket light housings, whether they be tail lights or head lights. It's because it's all jap crap, but we love it! My headlights required extra washers to get the light to fit the body correctly. And my tail lights required modification with a rat tail file in a few places to fit properly.
yup total jap crap but they look nice and make u see alot better then the stock ones.. i get flashed all the time tho so haha.. oh well
Hey all been on the forum for a while in the 3rd Gen Durango area. Now I picked up a 97 Dakota for FREE (umm yeah got my Durango free also). Any way Named it Darkkota Going to be a black themed truck. I just got the build sheet and seams to be a no frills base model plus Fog lights (missing of course). The body isn't pretty so she needs work like both fenders and driver and passenger door skins. New hing pins the bed isn't to bad just a dent in the passenger rear quarter. The frame is straight and solid so no worries there thank the gods. Mechanically the drive train is great but sometimes (according to the PO it's hard to get into 2nd). It need a power steering pump, brakes, shocks and tires. inside new carpet and a good cleaning plus a shift **** (anyone have a 5pd shift **** for a 97 Dakota?) and all is good.
Well know for the pictures.

Here's my Dakota after Plasti dipping my wheels

And then here's what I've got on the inside. I made the whole back seat myself so that I could keep my amps and another battery back there without taking up too much space. The amps also slide out so I can access the gains, crossovers, and all those things.

For those interested, my equipment is:
Fi Q12 fully loaded
Crescendo Audio BC2000D
Crescendo Audio C1100.4 (Still waiting on component sets so that I can hook it up)
Box built by me - 2.25 cubic feet tuned to 28 hz
2 XS Power D2700s (One under the hood and one in the back)
All knukoncetpz OFC wiring
Pioneer DEH-80PRS
Second Skin Damplifier Pro
