How to replace leaf spring shackles???

Longer shackles on a 4x4 will lower it since the spring is over the axle. Using longer shackles only works on 2wd Daks where the spring is under the axle.

Well maybe the Daks are setup differently then my Durango. I assumed they were the same since they both are on the same platform.

Yeah, it's strange that 4wd Durangos have spring under axle. I don't know why they did that. Maybe because the Durango is more of a "passenger vehicle" and having it under might provide a little smoother ride and keep it closer to the ground.

Drivers side is generally in worse shape...rule of thumb. Of course, my truck is backwards in that regard, but hey, what else would be my luck.
