Default problem with my 99

ok i have a 99 dokota 3.9 4x4. the problem is the abs light came on while driving at the same time the brake light came on. the speedomotor isnt working as well. while im driving the neeedle will stay on zero but if i let off the gas while moving it will move up to about 30 miles a hour to 40 miles a hour. i was wondering if anyone esle has had the same problem? if not who could tell me where to start looking for the problem

Start by running a diagnostic test.

Yes there is 2 speed sensors and as far as the check engine light turn the key to the on position 3 times in a row and on the 3rd time leave it on and codes will show up in the odo and then just post up the code

You should also have 2 sensors on your front wheels.

The only way that there will be sensors on the front hubs is if he has 4 wheel abs, and that is only for the brake's, not the speed sensor's.
