Default my water pump issues

ok, so i have found several threads, but am still searching,. I need help ASAP! As I need to go back to base on Saturday.

here is the deal, my FIL was driving the dakota 2000 3.9l 2wd automatic last week, and noticed it was getting hot and he lost power steering..... ok, well he babied it home, pulling over and waiting till it cooled off then drove a little bit more then pulled over again

end of the story, the upper radiator hose burst at the plastic fittign for the radiator cap

and he noticed the tensioned looked funny....

we replaced the tensioner today, and the upper hose, and started it up..... SQEEK! EKK!!!!!!

look down, the belt is off, and the water pump pulley is rubbing on the housing.... turned it off, and the fan can be wiggled about an inch back and forth!!!!!!

so i am looking into changign the water pump now.....

have seen a few issues.....

there are pressed on and bolt on pulleys, does it matter which i get?

looking like there is a 1" boss for a heater tube? the old one has it, but pics online of new ones don't? is this reuseable? i have also seen soem stuff online about them needing an o ring?

so far, want to get:

water pump
bolt kit
bypass hose
bypass hose pipe
water pump gasket

Comes with gasket, o-ring, and perf. pump.

You can use the old bolts... from the old pump.

Hoses you can get at any parts store, unless its the upper and lower hose get those at the dealership, all the others ****ing suck.
