Default best shocks for a 01 dak 4wd qc?

i have run bilstein, monroe, and a few others and still feels like crap when drivin! squirly over rail road tracks, and bouncy every where else, every little bump is hit and feels like i am hitting mini potholes!

what brand and part # is the best to help in this ?

i have yet to try rancho, some say put the 5000 series on the back and something different on the front?
what about the self adjusting ranchos?

any info appreciated!

thanks

Don't know what Bilsteins you tried, but I found them to be the best of the bunch. You sound like you are looking for softer shocks. I like the stiffness as it helps on washboard. I put bBilsteins on mine and any gravel road, or bump doesn't send my back end sideways anymore

ranchos kinda have a problem with sheering off bolts on some of the models. Just be wary!

you can just get a grade 8 bolt to fix that problem. i have procomp es9000 much better than the pos stockers that i had on there.

thanks for the heads up,

what part #'s would i try to go with for rancho's? also what # for procomp?

i want something that is self adjusting and makes my ride smoother! i have bilsteins currently, and was told they were awesome, maybe my whole suspension just sucks and the shocks are fine?

gona be changing out both sides lower and upper ball joints, inner and outter tie rods, and after that i will prolly change out my bushings all over the place!

any good numbers for bushings you guys know of for an 01 dak 4x4 qc?

have you cranked your torsion bars?
if they are then thats why your ride sucks, the crank makes it ride alot rougher. When i hit a pot hole going more than 20 or hit some uneven road ive had my backend get all squirlly and loose traction.

haha its not fun!

i dont believe i have cranked them, i had a tire guy who was doing my alignment, FINALLY do it as the book from chrysler recommended and he said he had to adjust them a bit due to my truck not being level and or one side being a bit higher than the other, but never intentually cranked them for ride height purposes!
