Default Vht nightshade

looking to shade the tails, 3rd, and turn signals this weekend could you guys that have used vht tell me how many cans i will need and how many coats of clear and vht to use if i want somewhere in between a flat and a gloss black, because i dont want them to glossy. Thanks guys.

1 can and you will have about half left over. i did several light coats of vht, and cleared the crap outof them. if you want it flat/gloss just leave it be without the clear coat.

I used like 1/4 of the can on mine for tail lights and 3rd brake. I did 3 coats and remember to use light coats if you dont it will crack. I never did use clear coat and a year later still looking just as good as the first day.

I was going to pick up a can of that stuff, but then I seen Jays tails and i like the smoked vinyl and how it turned out so Im thinking of heading in that direction....

yea definitely do light coats, i accidently did a coat too heavy on my third brake light and it cracked all to hell, sanded it down so it looks stock now, u can still kinda see the crack, here is what mine look like i did prolly about 5-6 coats with no clear and still have quite a bit left over

i just did 2 coats on mine, no clear. its pretty flat black but in the sun the red shows thru, like in the sig pic.

no i decided to wait and just get clear corners here in a week or 2. but how do you get the turn signals out?

There's a screw right in the middle of the 3 gaps. Take that out and the corner section pulls out.
