I need to replace the shocks on my dak because one is busted? Im leanin toward the rs5000 rancho but what other shocks would be good for on-off road use?

Ive had them for a year and a half, put them through some rugged offroading, towing a 6500lb boat and loading the bed up with lots of gravel/sand. They're awesome. The ride is nice, and when you put a lot of weight in the truck, it becomes even more of a cushioned, smooth ride..you wont regret em

when I did my shocks, i got rough country nitros and upgraded the rear bolts but the problem with mine was the front lower bolts threads into the control arm and its a metric pattern. the bolts i had on their were already 10.9 which is equivalent to grade 8 in standard threads so i'm not sure if someone changed it before or if thats how they are stock. look on the head of the bolt when you do it and if it says 8.8 make sure you get new 10.9 bolts but if its 10.9 it should be good

I go offroad when i can and my dak is my daily driver so i need somethin to perform and have some comfort as well. Did you have any problems with bolts sheering?

Had mine on there for almost a year now and I love em stiffened up the ride but I don't care its a truck they really plant the tires cause they r a liquid charged so they don't like to compress as much as the gas charged shocks haven't had any probe with the bolts. From what I hear tho if they shear a bolt just replace it with a grade 8 or do it in advance I still have the stock bolts in mine and I have 18" rims with 29" tires so my ride is already rough cause of lack of sidewall and roads here suck so if mine haven't broken U'll prolly be fine

I had RS5000s on my 2nd Gen Ram, very good ride on the street and able to tame moderate off-roading. Use RS9000x on my 3rd Gen mainly cause they are adjustable, but I have never moved them off the dead center setting.
