tell me more about clutch fan removal, i have a 2000 v8 dakota do you just remove the clutch and fan, do you have to mod the electric fan?

the e fan will come on at 212 degrees. pretty easy.

when removing the clutch fan is it nessacery to put a nut back to prevent the pully from working loose?

No, not on my 04. Its actually the pulley which is threaded, where the fan spins on to..

thanks sounds like the clutch fan is coming off, to bad i replaced it last year, what is the hp gain?

82.3; or, I dont know. Someone may, but its going to me marginal. You should get the truck to come up off idle a hair quicker, like an AL flywheel would, but yea, nothing major. Quieter too!
