Default Mods for my 99 dakota

I have a 99 dakota with a 5.9... What mods do you suggest I go with first, its completely stock ex for a magnaflow muffler ( which I want to change out as well).

There are plenty of things to do with the 5.9L engine... the world is almost your oyster really.

Have a venture around the forums here, there is plenty of information available to you here.

Also, as for the Magnaflow muffler, I wouldn't get rid of that unless you don't like throaty sound. That's one of the best performance mufflers you can get.

Lots of people like glass paks, and flowmaster too.

Is it an r/t or quad cab? Really it depends what you're looking for. A superchips tuner is a good start with an air cleaner, m1 intake manifold, 1.7 rr's, long tubes.. I mean there are a ton of options depending upon what you want and where you want to go.

haha k good I was confused by your previous post. But like stated about almost anything is out there for the 5.9. I'd start with some long tubes and go from there.

If it's an extended cab and has a 5.9, it is an r/t unless the 5.9 was swapped in.

I would start with the exhaust frist, then take a look at your rear ans see if it is an LSD, I would say my best mod was my gears.
