Default Well this don't look good.

So changing my erl today and notice this foamy crap on the underside of the oil cap and in the tube, dunno what this might be from, but if it makes any difference but i'd just gotten home bout half an hour ago from driving around just long enough for the oil to still be warm.

its just from the cold weather. with the rubber flap removed on the radiator it makes it worse. ive got the same thing in the winter. and my valvtrain is perfect. dont worry.

mine was much worse too. looked like half melted butter all in there.

just a side note do u have the plastic thing that sits in the fill tube? what the F is that lol

yeah i do. i think its just for filling the oil up, i just remove the stick thats in there, easier to fill.

yea thats what i do, man i forgot how much easier it is to change oil on our trucks lol, no funnel needed tube is so big, but changing headlights is the biggest pita in the world

The ram was the same way when I just changed the oil it only has 35,000 miles. It just from starting a cold engine all the time is just the condensation forming on the cap. My oil is easy to change if im just changing the oil lol My filter is kinda a bitch to change you have to go in from the wheel well and you can only get 1 hand in there.

isn't that the pcv? on mine it sits on the outside of the tube near the passenger side. and yea i get the same junk on my oil cap, i think its because the pcv is right there.

They are talking about the little stick that pulls out.And Ive seen that junk on a million oil caps.Dodges with the big caps seem to bee the worst.I work in the TLE at walmart in case anyone is wondering why I've seen a million oil caps.

The gunk is from the cold weather,or shorts runs were the engine doesn't warm up enough
