gear ratios

i recently had a 3 inch body lift and 33's put on and noticed it takes allot more rpms to increase my speed so does this meen i need a gear ratio change at all to even out the difference? if so, what gear ratio?

I would swap to a 3.92 gear front and rear, and if you dont already have a limited slip in the rear, I would add one.

You have the 3.9 right? If you do I would move up to 4:10 just because the 3.9 with a stock truck is pretty slow as it is.

what is a limited slip?

and how much would it cost to have a mechanic put in the gears rear and/or front

your looking at 400 bucks or so a diff.

Cost is going to depend my mechanic would do it for 100 bucks some might charge 400 just for labor

With 33s I'd go for 4.56s for sure.
