Default Factory tire size for 2001 Dakota Sport 3.9L 4x4?

It has P235/75/R15 on it right now, but I've seen some with 31x10.5x15. Which size did it come with from the factory?

Also, I just got this truck. Are there any factory recalls I should be aware of, and if so, would they still be valid?

The tag in the door should indicate what tire size it had on it when it left the factory.

Thanks for the replies.

The tag in the door jamb says 215/75/R15, on 15x7 wheels. It originally came with these wheels (this is a picture of the actual truck that I now own, taken by the previous owner):

But now it has wheels like these ...

... because one of the original wheels was missing, and the previous owner replaced them with that other style, because he found a full set of them cheap.

Are the wheels in the first picture 15x7? What about the wheels in the second picture (like the ones my truck has now)?

Is there any difference between trucks that came with 215/75/R15 tires and trucks that came with 31x10.5x15 tires? In other words, can I simply slap on a set of 31s and call it good, or would there be other things I'd have to do as well? There seems to be plenty of room for 31s.

You have the same rims as me...15x8. 31's fit nicely on those rims. You might have to crank the torsion keys up a little to get the correct clearance up front. There are plenty of writeups on how to do it. The rears will fit no problem. You will probably have to have the speedo recalibrated to adjust for the new tire size.

is your truck 4wd? because they came a little higher then the 2wd, and 31's might not clear a shorter 2wd.

Your rims are the 15x8 31's will fit fine and there and they should fit right on your truck no problem. I have the same rims and my 31's fit fine.
