Are you using the filter with the factory air system? That might be why. I would say get rid of the tornado and all the extra BS. I got the cheap $30 ebay gimmick for my V-6 and could really notice a difference.

Thee, I have done everything you have with the exception of cut a hole in the side of the box. Is there a reason you did that? Really curious...

Usually its to get more air flow to the filter (less restrictive)

Yeah I think one or the other.. filter w/out the tornado.. or stock paper filter w/ the tornado.. but with both.. eh.. its not liking it.. fuel milage seems about the same.. just seems boggy in certain RPM ranges.. but getting on it though.. throw your as$ back in that seat torque.

So does the tornado really make a difference or is it just tv hype?

To be honest with you it was on the truck when I got it and has always been on it.. I'm getting about 300 miles a tank.. little more if a i baby it..

Thinking I might pull it off and then see what I get.. I can tell you though with the High Flow air filter and the tornado when I'm getting on it then let off while the engine rpm decrease.. it sounds like a jet powering down..

Just as a mental note, I'm not sure if it would give you better mileage with, being it's supposed to make a better mix by the swirling of the air.. ? Fuel injection we really do not have that problem perse.. if anything it would increase speed if any and require more fuel.. i would suspect the only effects are when your really getting down on it..

Do you have it on the air box side or the tb side? Read a bunch of comments on other sites that said it seemed to have an actual effect if placed right at the tb intake...

It is on the air box side and i took it off for grins and the mid to upper rpm range with out it i could feel it take a little bit longer to rap out.. but not too much.. we are talking matter of milliseconds.. maybee.. 1.5 seconds compared to previous run.. of right around 10 seconds 0-60 from compleate stop..

I think it helps get the air to the TB slightly quicker from the swirl effect, with out it.. the according ridges slow down the air.. if i put a strait smoth pipe on like the CAI systems have I could probally do with out it..
