Default Transfer case stuck in 4lo

We got a big snow storm and I needed to use 4lo to get into the driveway, now I cannot get it to disengage. The 4HI just keeps blinking and the case won't shift.

I have done the following:

1. Tried shifting per the two options in the owners manual.
2. Disconnected the connectors and cleaned them.
3. Tapped the servo motor to see if it would free up.

I have no tcase warning lights on, only the blinking light when I am trying to shift. I have read it could be the TCCM or the servo motor? Any help would be appreciated.

You have the electric 4wd dont you? and did you try unhooking that battery for a little bit might be able to reset it.

Yes it is the electornic one. And I forgot to add to my list, yeah I disconnected the battery for 30 seconds, grounded the positive cable to reset everything. No luck. Also tried to shift the t case into neautral and it wouldn't shift, just kept flashing until i stopped pressing in on the little button.

Possible something is frozen with ice? Just guessing, I have to shift my transfer case by hand.

No, no ice. Everything is sealed up. It keeps blinking on the selector. Which to me means it isn't wanting to engage because the tccm thinks the requirements haven't been met to shift out of 4lo, or maybe it keeps flashing if the servo motor is out? I am not sure what it could mean exactly.

New servo motor costs $130.

Yeah with the electric ones they are somtimes picky get going like 3mph and go to neutral then try to shift it. If that doesnt work the motor is prob bad.

Yeah tried backing up. Slamming it back. Coasting at every speed. For now I pulled it striaght into the garage. I figure once the snow melts off the streets I will really be screwed if I need to make a sharp turn into the driveway on dry pavement in 4LO.

I have a NV133 transfer case from an '03 Durango in storage. Best I can tell, the motors on the transfer case are the same. I am going to try and swap them out tomorrow and see how it goes. If not I guess I am looking for a transfer case control module.

I will definatley report back with the results. And of course, it only breaks in the worst weather since I never use it any other time.

I guess what I am hoping it is is just the motor and not the control module. Don't much feel like tearing up my whole dashboard.
