if you u go to ebay just search dodge dakota front driveshaft and only like 7 things come up, its the shiny one from vegas drivelines, i broke down and ordered it tonite hope it works as well as i hope, maybe more people will try it, and my old one looked just like yours u wouldnt have even have known it had a boot on it lol guess i shoulda done more research before i bought the truck but it was such a good deal haha, impulse buy, anyway i will take pics when i get it on , hope urs goes well too, and yeah we gonna b rippn it up again yay, i been so depressed about no 4wd i actually spent 2 hours detailing my truck , it looks goooood but i cant wait to get it muddy again

Soooooo, went to napa yesterday to pick mine up as it finally came in on a barge and it was the wrong one. It was too long even though it was fully collapsed. This means the manufacturer that's selling the drive shafts to napa, autozone etc are labeling them wrong, at least picture wise. The manual one showing a picture of two u joints is wrong so they ordered me the automatic one with the cv and the u joint. Hopefully its right and hopefully they contact the people that are building the drive shafts that are being sold to retailers. So now I have to wait till saturday to get the correct one and i'll let you know how that goes. I figure even though I'm going with the cv, it's lasted 8 or 9 years so I hoping this one will too.
I tried detailing mine as well, being the first time I've washed it since I've gotten it and I dont know when the last time it has been washed. Its got little black marks on it, possibly tar. Interior is super nice since I always keep the dash and moldings moisturized and shiny.

 

4x4 knocking noise issue resolved. Replace with new front drive shaft from NAPA and everything works fine now
