Transgo shift kit.
Calling anybody who has the 45rfe...have any of you installed a transgo shift kit?

Just wondering because sometime this year I'd like to service my transmission fluid and etc. Sitting at 109k miles and I don't know if or when it's been done last. With that bring said...I see it's supposed to help with firm shifting and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this kit?

interesting. lol, I just looked up sonnax...it's amazing how much the computer does. Apparently they both cost the same. I'd rather not have to go through the valve body if I can get the same result through this.
However, I've already tried the TMR mod. WOT I get the huge jolt to second, which is cool. Now since you have experience with the sonnax...what kind of differences have you noticed in normal driving? Is it all WOT? Any kind of slacking during shifts still or is it all quick?

I'm not sure about the details as much, but simply put...with the TMR, there's a wire as part of transmission control that if you open the circuit by cutting it, it creates a firmer shift at WOT. Sonnax is a pressure line boost that allows the tranny to handle more power in shifts. This is done electronically. The transgo does pretty much the same thing, except it's done mechanically and involves going through the valvebody.

dont worry about it tmr only works for the 4.7, 3.7 or 5.7 with the 3plug pcm.
and sonnax is only for the 45rfe trannys.
they both firm shifts.
