Yep plenum gasket, very common, from what ive read look up hughes engines they make the best fix for this. If you just get a new gasket and put it back on itll blow again due to the pan being steel and intake aluminum they heat up at different rates and the stock bolts are a bit to long so you cant torque the thin stock pan, i plan on doin this soon but ive heard hughes is the best way to go

thanks man ill look in to getn some. im planin on doin it next week end. if i can find those gaskets lol

You can get everything you need at auto parts store if you just plan to do the gaskets. It will only last you about 30-50k before it needs done again. Its a pretty easy job tho.

why the heck would you want to do the job more than once. just spend the money once and do it right the first time. it really boils down to how much is your time worth. you have empty the rad fluid and take all the stuff off the top of the engine to take the intake off.

I like working on my truck so it doesnt matter to me plus when your 18 a 100.00 can go somewhere else plus im pretty cheap anyway. Me and my buddy did it on his ram and with the both of us working it took like 3hrs start to finish.

i like working on my truck but there is just some stuff i would not want to do more than once. i'm try to make the thing as maintenance free as possible.

I know you mentioned this on the my shuttering thread.. the oil is puddled in there?

I cant really see that well in the video.. you have a shutter when rolling from a stop or to a stop? Is that what you were saying?

If yes, I'd like to see if this fixes it or not.. but I also hear something tapping/pinging..

yea there was a samll puddle in the back. and it shutters or lopes goin to a stop and when u let your foot off the break. ill let you know if this fixes it or not
