Default Upside down shift ****

Anyone else have an upside down **** on their shifter. I think it's right just the numbers are upside down. Not like I use it to know what gear I'm shifting into, just saying...lol

Mine is more like 90 degrees off. I wish Dodge had a different shifter design that was a threaded stud at the top so you could put a jam nut up against the shifter and orient it correctly. I think it would be a pain to try to shim where the shifter entered the trans to get it right.

It's annoying like you said, but not necessary to have it indexed correctly.

Yeah it would be nice if that little tab could rotate seperately from the **** itself. I just like to have stuff make sense and look right.

must be different in the 01+, when I had my stock shifter on my 00 it was a pressed in piece that you could rotate...with the hurst shifter and t-handle now tho I have a jam nut even though the bitch got stripped somehow, at least it is in the right position after some muscle haha

Mine looks like a pressed in piece and have tried rotating it. I might even post a pic here in a little bit. Guess i should try again, and hold the **** with one hand and try twisting that top with the other.

That piece is just a button. It pops out, there is a nut under it that holds the **** on the shifter. Easy to fix w/ a small knife/pin to get the cap off, then a 12mm or something(if the cap is actually tabbed). I can take pics as mine is off and disassembled.

Im trying dude..lol..you think that top pops off? I tried damn hard to hold the know and just twist that thing. If it does pry off i dont wanna leave marks all over it either sooo this sucks. Would be nice if it comes off though.
