Exclamation Power Steering/steering.

Hello ladies and gent's.

I have a 97 dodge dakota v8 5.2lt. My issue is with my steering.

Ive notice when i slow down from a speed of 25-35mph to make a turn, my steering becomes hard. And from after going reverse for a few feet , to putting it in drive lets say to turn the wheel left or right from a stop position it gets hard to turn. I would have to step on the gas a little for it to loosen up and let me turn with out the stiffness of the steering wheel. I haven't notice any leeks from the power steering pump, the fluid levels is at nominal levels. But the truck drives fine though, its only from what i mentioned above. Any help would be appreciated guys.

Sounds like it's getting in a bind.. Check your fluid? Change your fluid? Make sure the lines are clogged?

Is it doing it when you use your brakes to slow down, or stop then go forward? Do you have a sticking caliper?
