If you already have a carbd 350, I say go for it. You already have the motor. What trans do you have? The hardest part will be getting the 350 to mount to the Dodge trans. If it's a manual it might not be bad, just need a different bell housing. You might need to fab some motor mounts to work with the 350 but you won't need a computer or any nasty wiring harnesses for FI vehicles. Therefore, I don't think it will be too hard to swap.

as for the tranny i have an nv3500 it holds up to the 318 i dont see why it wouldnt hold up to the 350. im also only 2 wheel drive ands its got the high 290 gears and i think im going to go even higher. the bell housing isnt going to bother none it will bolt up the flywheel is what im more worried about. i hope it bolts to the crank on the 350. and losing the wiring will through a check engine light so idk if i can get a modified vin or not

in maryland anyway, it would never pass emissions because that model year vehicle is spec'd for standards that a carb'd engine can't meet. set it up for a zipper, stuff that chevy in it and stu fthe stocker back in for emissions- depending of course how often your emission test is and how much hassle you want to deal with.

The nv3500 will easily hold up to an older 350.
