ok im living in Ny we have to plug in to the obd II on all 1996 and newer. unless they weight over 8500lbs. i have an inspectors licance so that part im not worried about. its the part about ny state that im worried about.

as far as disrespecting a dodge. the new hemi is disrespecting its self and i know lots of people that would rather save a couple grand building a 350 and put it in a ford mustang or toyota truck. also i dont see it as disrespect because its better then running a ford in it (my first thought was to run the 3.8l super coupe that came in the thunderbirds because it was a V6 and i have one with a tranny attached.

The way i see it if you have a motor that isnt being used and a body thats engineless, why not mix it up a bit? If my 360 ever goes i got a 318 sittin in the barn out of my first truck ('79 Power wagon) that id probley throw in or possibly even the 360 big block out of my f100. I just think whatever you do itd be a cool experience and fun to do.

It's def gonna be cheaper to build up and old 350, they've been around a while and are a dime a dozen.. And I've seen them crammed into a lot of different vehicles but nothing as new as a 2nd gem dak. Dropping one in an old yota or a little s-10 or something was a cinch, motor mounts and some firewall fabrication. Definitley setting yourself up for some work and if you do it make sure to keep us updated on your progress. Even if nobody thinks its a "great idea" still be an intriguing read....best of luck to you

i havent started the truck is barried under about 3 foot of snow. once i do start im going to post picture all the way threw this is going to be a several year project (due to the fact funds are limited and the wife would kill me if i spent the saving on a toy) i also need to do research about that computer system and find out the best way of going about removing the electric considering the tach and speed hear are all computer ran. also need to fight our how to shut down the monitors for the CIL light will not be on. but my question is to anyone out there that has done anything with electric in the Dakota's how the best way to elimate the sensors is. i know that there is a 5 volt signal then a corresponding return signal. and a ground. is there some reason why i cant pull the resistance at idle from each sensor and put a resistor in the place of the sensor and fid the wiring???? if anyone can help or has someone that might know please let me know!

When we pulled the old 434ci LS out and then decided to swap to new coilover and new axles. From 5 ton top loaders to axle tech 4000's

515 ci big block chevy aluminium heads big cam and fully rollerized.

on changing the VIN... no. that is the serial number it left the factory with..No matter what engine is in it. or gets put into it... that would be "tampering" and a felony I believe... something car thieves do....
as far as putting a Chevy engine in a Dodge... that is just plain idiotic. If you want something with a 350 in it go buy yourself an S10...….. leave the Dodge all Dodge.
What would you say if I put a 360 in an S10????? (not that Id want an S10, any S10)
