Time to change Oil, Tranny, front and rear diff, plugs and other odds and ends.
'00 QC with a 4.7L, 9.25 rear diff. 125k miles. Nothing but mobile 1 syn. since i bought it in '03
What do you run for Plugs?
Tranny fluid?
Front and rear gear oil?
Transfer case?
Any other stuff I should change while I'm at it, i usually let my local dealer do the service but i want to give it a try.

 

tranny fluid= mopar atf+4
diff oil= i used royal purple
tcase= same as tranny
plugs=autolite or ngk usually respond well to the 4.7

 

don't forget friction modifier if you have a limited slip and since you use mobile 1 i would also use it in the rear i believe its 175w40
you might want to do coolant, pwr steering, brake fluid, and grease points and don't forget to grease the front drive shaft

 

Its not really part of a tune up but while your under the front id check the ball joints, bushings, etc.

 

Both my lower ball joints are grease able and get some every oil change.

NGK it is.

Mobile 1 are ready has the modifier in it doesn't it. Grease the front shaft, coolant, pwr steering, brake fluid?
I should change or check pwr fluid, coolant,brake fluid.

yes if the fluids have never been changed the need to because the fluid breaks down and gets dirty and can start breaking down seals and in the case of the brake fluid water builds up and can rust the brake lines and the coolant can start corroding the engine block

 

Go to wally world and get the autolites the book calls for. I forget what the number is, but they have them. They're cheap and work just as good if not better than any other plug. No need to buy NGKs.

Haven't yet, that's part of my mission today. I have had great luck with NGK's in my sleds and bikes.
Regular Autolites or Platinum, Iridium?

 

i had double platinum autolites but they dont do anything over the basic ones other than last longer.
